Flow Like The Wind
Travel.
The most magical gift of self exploration.
All my life I have been a nomad. My parents divorced at a young age and I traveled between both houses, every 2 days with my siblings, for 11 years before I moved out on my own at 19.
Even after my first big move as “an adult” I moved every single year to a new dwelling. At the age of 25, I moved from cute, small, New Hampshire; to big, shiny, amazing New York City to pursue a culinary degree at the French Culinary Institute. I never got the degree, but I picked up a husband along the way, who decided that he wanted to enlist in the Army after his professional schooling. Fast forward 10 years later to now. and with the help of the military, I have now moved 20 times through out the US and abroad (South Korea twice).
20 freaking times in 17 years.
That can be enough to make anyone’s hair fall out. I’ve had my fair share of melt downs over some of them.
The silver lining to all of it though is constant transformation. Constant growth. Constant self knowledge.
For a geek like me, someone that will jump in fast, hold on tight and will purposely put myself in situations outside of my comfort zone just because I want to see what will happen when I come up for air on the other side. I mean, why not right?
It has been EVERYTHING.
You could say that it was a circumstance of my broken childhood and all the shuttling back and forth. And maybe it was. But my personal belief is that before we incarnate on this human plane, we pick all our life situations for our personal growth and experience. This was part of my path. Even before the divorce I used to fantasize about living in an RV, traveling and coming and going as I pleased.
I’ve learned a shit ton about myself and that, to me, is invaluable.

Be free, let yourself roam, explore and discover the scenery around you and within you. Meet new people and places. See, eat and do all the things.
Most importantly, get to know the person within yourself and shine.
Shine, baby, shine!
Come journey with me as I explore South Korea and South East Asia. It will be epic!
